Who I am
Theatre director, teacher and theatre maker with more than 15 years of professional experience in stage directing, theatre production and performance design.
My work includes productions in major Romanian theatres such as the Jewish State Theatre, Metropolis Theatre, National Theatre Sibiu, Teatrul ACT, Bulandra Theatre and Andrei Mureșanu Theatre.
My directing practice explores both classical and contemporary theatre, staging works by Shakespeare, David Mamet, Martin McDonagh, Jennifer Haley, Paula Vogel and other major playwrights.
Several productions have been selected in international festivals, including the Jewish Theatre International Festival in Warsaw and MITEM Festival at the National Theatre in Budapest.
Alongside my directing work, I teach theatre directing at the National University of Theatre and Cinema “I.L. Caragiale” in Bucharest. I hold a PhD in Theatre Studies focused on the directing universe of the Romanian theatre director Liviu Ciulei.
My interests include actor-centered directing, contemporary dramaturgy, theatre translation and adaptation, and interdisciplinary theatre forms.
